An array of Lanna style cuisine, beautifully presented. The urestaurant is a traditional Lanna build surrounded by a Homestay and little shops along with antiques. What a wonderful find. Excellent attentive service and delicious food. 4/5 for atmosphere as it really could have done with music.

This is more like a 4.5 for us. The restaurant is beautiful, airconditioned, very nice & attentive staff, and the choice of foods are unique compared to other restaurants we have tried in Chiang Mai. Some of the flavor combinations are familiar and similar to Kelantanese-Pattani cuisine (southern Thai) but others are very different which added some interest. For example we had the bamboo shoot curry with grilled snakehead fish which we’ve never had before but quite tasty. The mango salad with betel leaves and a fern that reminds us of stink bean & pea sprout was delicious and probably the best dish of the meal. The second one would be the fish in banana leaf, lots of good basil flavor and a bit of heat. We also ordered nam khin with vegetables and grilled egg plant with duck egg, both of which were ok but not amazing— the former not enough heat, the latter not enough flavor. The drinks we got, butterfly pea with lime and bael fruit tea were both tasty and refreshing especially after a toasty morning of walking around the ruins. unfortunately we dock off a star from service because they don’t take card & the baby chair was not very suitable for a baby. But otherwise service was great, and they gave us fresh cut fruit on the house which was a nice touch. Prices were quite reasonable considering how nice the restaurant is.

Hidden gems ! I like northern thai food and mini Lanna museum here. If I have some foreign friends who coming to visit CM. I'm highly recommend here.

Lanna’s restaurant is such a hidden jam, it’s located in a local neighborhood which is close to the airport. The food is so good as it’s also our last meal in chiang mai.
